A social contract is an agreement that the class creates to help build mutual respect. The students create responses that are recorded and then signs the contract to claim that is how they want to be treated and how they will treat others.

- How do I think you, the teacher, want to be treated by me the student. You want to be treated with respect. You want to be given privacy. You want us to be honest.
- How should we treat each other in this classroom? We need to treat each other with respect. Be fair. Also, we need allow for everyone to contribute.
- How should we handle problems that come between us? We need to talk about it in a professional way. Forgive each other. Be understanding.
